George Balgobin was born in Miami, FL where he spent 18 years before moving to Pennsylvania to attend Swarthmore College. As editor of the paper there, he gained notoriety for standing by the rights of unpopular speech, and subsequently earned himself a thicker skin. After graduation, he spent the better part of the following year living in small towns in the Southern U.S. and writing on the topics of race, fundamental Christianity, social mores, and local politics.
Currently he lives in Philadelphia, PA, where, in addition to writing, he is involved in real estate development.
